Babel One Coffee Table - Babylone Blue

An iconic piece, the Babylone Blue coffee table honours the Japanese tradition of constructing with charred wood, a technique known as shou-sugi-ban. Dense, raw and very deep in color, the charred oak brings intensity and strength to this timeless coffee table. For a perfect finish, the surface is brushed and oiled to reveal its beauitful, natural graining.

Our charred oak is supplied by NoirdeBois, a French specialist in Shou Sugi Ban, the Japanese burnt wood process. The steel leg is manufactured and powder coated in another workshop located in the Lille region, France. The table is then assembled in Roubaix, France.
